Policy Terms and Conditions for Technology Equipment Loans
Equipment: (Mobile WiFi Hotspot) — Internet service is provided by T-Mobile with unlimited data at 4G LTE speeds. Up to 15 devices may be connected to the Hotspot at once.
Eligibility: Equipment may only be reserved and checked-out by patrons who are 18 years of age or older, with a valid library card in good standing.
Availability: Holds on equipment will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations may be made online, by phone, or in person at the library.
Loan Period: Equipment items are checked out for a two-week period (renewable twice, if no one is waiting). Only one device at a time per household permitted. There is a waiting period of two weeks before patrons in a household can check out the same type of device again.
Returns: All equipment must be returned to Nashville Public Library only. Equipment may NOT be returned in the Book Drop.
Cancellation: Reservations may be cancelled or rescheduled online, by telephone, or in person.
Late Fines: Nashville Public Library will charge a $1/day late fee; however, if a piece of equipment goes into overdue status, service will be turned off. If, after two weeks, the equipment is not returned, the borrower will be charged a replacement fee. Lost or damaged items will incur the same fee.

Internet Use: Nashville Public Library is not responsible for information accessed using a device or for personal information shared over the Internet. All users are encouraged to use safe Internet practices. Using a device to access any online content determined to be illegal or obscene according to federal, state, or municipal law will result in revocation of equipment borrowing privileges and potentially criminal prosecution. Nashville Public Library is not responsible for any content viewed on library equipment.
Settings and Purchases: Patrons may not alter equipment in any way. This includes, but is not limited to the installation/deletion of applications and changes to device settings. Purchases to access additional content using any Nashville Public Library accounts is not permitted.
Privacy Policy: Your internet and content usage is not tracked by the library. The library does not have access to or collect specific usage data. The library does not provide patron information to any third party.
Every patron will have to read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions of this policy when checking out.
