Inter-library Loan
Nashville Public Library is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System which connects us with libraries throughout the state of Southern Illinois and beyond. If we do not own materials you need, we can borrow them from another library. We will locate a specific book or magazine article for you, or you may submit a subject request.
Reference Service
Whenever possible, staff members will help patrons find answers to reference questions by leading them to appropriate materials for searching. Phone reference calls are always welcome.
Computers for Public Use in the Library
Eight stations are provided for Public Access to the Library Catalog, Internet Resources, or Email. Each patron is allowed two hours per day on the Internet.
Genealogists may use the computer located in the Microfilm Room for Family History research, including a search of the index to the beginning years of the Nashville Democrat.
Photocopier and Scanner
Copies are made for the public at the rate of $.20 cents per page for black and white and $.50 cents per page for color. Items to be copied must qualify under federal copyright laws. Several sizes of paper are available as well as enlarging and reducing capabilities. Scans can be sent to a flash drive or an email at no charge.
Faxing
The Library will send and receive domestic faxes for the price of $2 for the first page and $1 for every page after that. Cover sheets are provided for free.
