Mark your calendars now for the Friends of the Nashville Public Library Spring Book Sale, April 23-25, 2015. The preview sale takes place Thursday evening, April 23, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the library. There is a $5.00 admission charge on the night of the preview sale, but people have first selection on materials for sale. Members of the Friends of the Library organization, who are lifetime members or have paid their membership dues for 2015, receive free admission on preview nights for book sales. In addition, lifetime members also receive a 10 percent discount on total purchases at the book sales.
There is no charge for the regular book sale on Friday, April 24, from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a bag sale for all books, except for newer, higher-priced books. The Washington County Master Gardeners’ Spring Plant Swap will also be taking place in the west parking lot adjacent to the library on Saturday morning, April 25.
The book sale offers many great buys on used books, with many books in like-new condition. Some records, videos, audio books, and music CDs will also be for sale. Regular hardback books sell for $.50 each or 3 books for $1.00. Regular paperback books sell for $.25 each or 5 books for $1.00. Items in like-new condition range from $.50 to $3.00 and are specially marked.
