Author Robert Hays will be at the library for a book signing featuring his newest book, “When the Dogwoods Bloom Again.”
Robert Hays is a U.S. Army veteran and a newspaper reporter turned teacher who is professor emeritus on the faculty of the University of Illinois. He is the author of eight previous novels, three of which gained nominations for the prestigious Pushcart Prize literary award. His non-fiction works include his collaboration with General Oscar Koch, G-2: Intelligence for Patton, a standard reference for military historians published in 1971 and still in print. He also authored a biography of General Koch, who as intelligence chief for General George S. Patton Jr. was one of the true unsung heroes of World War II.
