To bring families together and to help foster a positive culture of reading, this year we are asking for families to read a book together for Family Reading Night. You can read a family favorite at home, read a new book at the library, or check a book out from the library to qualify.

Pick up a participation form from the library (or print off below), and after the book has been read together as a family, fill out the form and return it to the library no later than Friday, November 20th. The form can be returned in person or in our outdoor drop box. Three participating families will be randomly selected to receive a gift.

Our Family Reading Night goal is to motivate children to want to read so they will practice reading independently and, thus, become fluent readers. We structured this  event to encourage families to read together to reinforce the importance of building literacy skills at a young age, and to strengthen family bonds.

Happy Reading!
